About Us
Who We Are
North Coast Credit Union started in 1939 in the Bellingham firehouse, and we are still headquartered in Bellingham today. We are a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by our members, and our five branches serve Whatcom and Skagit counties. We are a Washington state-chartered credit union, federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration.
Our Mission
Helping YOU Thrive is more than a tagline. We believe thriving financially should be within reach for everyone, so we look for every opportunity to say yes to our members and our community.
What Being Member-Owned Means
When you join North Coast Credit Union, you become an owner. Our board is made up of volunteers our members elect, deposits earn dividends, and there are no outside investors taking a share. You can also sit down with someone at any of our five branches during business hours.
Our Commitment
Whether you are buying a first home, saving for something specific, or sorting out a problem with an account, you can reach a real person; a financial partner you can trust. North Coast Credit Union is here for every step of the journey.
Our contact center is open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and branch lobbies are open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
Join Our Community
Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school, or worships in Washington State. When you join North Coast Credit Union, you are not just opening an account, you are becoming part of a cooperative that has been investing in people here since 1939.
To open an account you will need a government-issued photo ID that has not expired, along with your address, date of birth, and Social Security number or ITIN.
